Ok so I'm now on a roll with these blog posts so I thought I would keep them coming! Next up is another styled shoot we did on the same day as Jewelled Geometric - it was a busy one! Beautifully captured again by the lovely Dominic Whiten.
This time we took it outside and created a modern, luxe, woodland shoot featuring geometric elements, metallic touches and lush florals. We planned to shoot on a bed of snowdrops but they all died the day before the shoot - wahh!
Regardless, it turned out beautifully and the gorgeous spring light really set off the surroundings, details and colours. The shoot, created and styled by yours truly and featured 2 couture dresses, a bespoke cake on a trolley, table scape, geometric suspended shapes, cocktails and gorgeous British grown flowers.
We wanted to inspire couples when dining outside to embrace the surroundings while still channelling a modern luxe feel. We aimed to make it light and bright with whites and metallics and kept it soft with the pink elements. We included a few geometric details in the stationery by Sugar and Spice Designs and in the hanging shapes that we suspended amongst from the trees to create a backdrop which could be easily recreated by couples to make a great photo area.
Our bride wore couture dresses by Clariscia Gill, one of which had a beaded neckline and soft Grecian style and the other a capped sleeved lace beauty.
The lush florals, by Moss & Stone, were grown as much as possible on British soil and were key to the overall look. They trailed across the table and the bouquet was wild and glorious, with hand dyed silk ribbon from Silk & Purl finishing it off beautifully.
The stationery, created by Sugar & Spice designs, featured a geometric swan in gold foil throughout, bringing in the natural aspect of the shoot.
The geo metallic details continued onto the cake by Mon Annie, which was adorned with exquisite sugar flowers. Diamond shaped cookie favours were placed in the seats of guests and were surrounded with gold beaded chargers and cutlery.
Coloured glassware was provided by Couvert hire and really added to the overall luxe feel. Doing something as simple as uplevelling your water glass can really elevate the design of your table scape and doesn't have to be excessively expensive either.
